Mixing our own propellent

Because we are not a well funded student group, motors can often make up a large chunk of our budget. In order to cut down on costs our rocketry lead decided to begin a program of mixing our own propellant.

Solid Propellent

We began by mixing solid propellant. This mixture was a relatively simple mixture of (I want to censor the mixture for now until I have a  complete mixing safety section up)

It took 3 days before the mixture had cured The final color was grey and had a consistency of a thick cookie dough (DO NOT EAT).  These batches were then tested on our small test stand.
